Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ModelRetirement, including the alpha release, website, simulation tools, saved plan features, feedback tools, and related services. By signing in or using ModelRetirement, you agree to these Terms.
1. Alpha Release
ModelRetirement is currently offered as an invite-only alpha. Features may change, be limited, break, produce unexpected results, or be removed. Access may be suspended or ended at any time, especially to fix issues, protect the service, or manage the alpha user base.
2. No Professional Advice
The service provides estimates, projections, scenario comparisons, and educational analysis based on information you enter and assumptions used by the software. Outputs are not recommendations and should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions. You are responsible for evaluating any result with qualified professionals before acting on it.
3. Simulation Limits
Retirement outcomes depend on market performance, tax law, inflation, health care costs, longevity, spending, Social Security rules, data quality, and many other factors. ModelRetirement cannot guarantee that a projection, success rate, withdrawal path, Roth conversion result, Social Security result, tax estimate, or other output will be accurate or suitable for your situation.
4. Your Account and Access
You are responsible for maintaining control of your email account, sign-in links, password, and browser session. Do not share your alpha invitation or account access unless we expressly allow it. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the service only for lawful personal planning and alpha feedback.
5. Your Data and Inputs
You retain responsibility for the financial, household, retirement, account, and other information you enter. By entering information, sending feedback, or using chat features, you allow ModelRetirement to process that information to operate, improve, debug, and support the service. Our Privacy Policy explains data handling in more detail.
6. AI and Chat Features
Some features may use AI models to explain software results or help you navigate the app. AI-generated responses can be incomplete or wrong. They are not professional advice and should be checked against the simulator's displayed results and independent professional judgment.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service. This includes attempting to access other users' data, bypass security or invite controls, overload the service, reverse engineer private systems, upload malicious content, use the service for unlawful activity, or interfere with the alpha experience for other users.
8. Availability and Changes
The service is provided during alpha without uptime commitments. We may update, restrict, pause, or discontinue any feature. We may also update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Third-Party Services
ModelRetirement may rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers, including hosting, email delivery, analytics, and AI services. We are not responsible for third-party outages, terms, or policies, but we use them to operate and improve the service.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ModelRetirement is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or error-free operation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ModelRetirement and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost savings, lost data, investment losses, tax consequences, or other losses arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the service, or if the alpha program changes or ends.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
